The body of George Deeslie, Panhandle engineer killed near Gould’s tunnel Wednesday morning, was taken to Dennison last night in charge of railroad men. Born October 15, 1870 in Allegheny City, he moved with his parents to Uhrichsville. He married Allie Yeagley in 1897 and leaves five children, a widowed mother, one brother Alex Deeslie of Mounds, Illinois, and three sisters in Uhrichsville and Columbus. He served as a railroad passenger and later engineer, respected by colleagues.
