An unknown foreign woman about 26 was struck by eastbound Pa Handle train one mile east of Mingo Junction. She walked the tracks when hit. body mangled and later moved to the morgue for identification. A shoe marked Boguin Bofuin was found. authorities pursue identification.
The Stanton Monument Association held a Thursday afternoon meeting at the Stanton school in Board of Education rooms. H. G. Dehrman presided with full attendance as committees reported progress and the offer of sculptor Alexander Doyle was enthusiastically embraced as a significant advance. George W. McCook and H. B. Pete Mariano of 705 North Street was shot in the knee as he entered an Italian doorway on South Sixth Street Sunday. Doctors removed bone fragments after the bullet penetrated the knee joint. Police say two revolver reports were heard earlier, but Mariano and bystanders offered few details and accused unknown assailants. The neighborhood’s heavy shooting activity prompted investigators to treat the incident as potentially personal safety related.

J R Hooker and his wife and son formerly of Holliday's Cove now in San Jose Calif describe in a letter to Mansfield Ohio friends how the quake hurled the bed moved the house like a ship windmill and two large water tanks toppled the chimneys fell the dishes shattered and water sprayed through a window all within less than a minute. The family escaped unharmed.
Funeral services for Mrs Geo E Sharpe were held at Sycamore Hill Sunday at 2 PM, large attendance. Rev Redhead of St Stephen's Church officiated.
