Daring Bunco: Woman Loots Miller Dry Goods Store
A young woman nicknamed Fluffy Ruffles burglarized Horne & Co during a bankrupt sale at the Miller Dry Goods Store. She pried rusted rear bars, removed a brown suit and other items worth hundreds, was spotted by a passerby, and arrested after police traced the goods to the hotel rear. Officers guarded the scene. list of stolen items totaled many pieces including dresses, skirts, and underwear. The suspect, about 22, claimed coercion by two men, but authorities doubt the tale.
