Suffragettes Attack Medical Officer at Holloway Jail

London June 3 suffragettes attacked Dr Francis Forward medical officer of Holloway jail as he left the prison two women with horsewhips assaulted him before a police constable stopped them. They said the act was a pre conduct and recalled an earlier October 7 1913 attack. An arson squad burned a cricket pavilion at Earlsfield and another squad set a country residence near Belt but the fire was discovered and contained.

Woman from Cleveland to witness Salem suffrage revival

Mrs Elvira J Bushnell of Cleveland who was 17 at the 1850 Salem Salem suffrage meeting will attend the June 10 revival of the Salem convention. A longtime Western Reserve suffrage secretary and friend of Susan B Anthony she helped found the movement. The 1850 gathering was the second suffrage meeting in world history held in Ohio before the 1851 constitutional convention.
