Parole Request Made for John Slaga Reformatory Case
An application for parole has been filed for John Slaga who pleaded guilty to manslaughter after being indicted for second degree murder. Slaga was sentenced to the Reformatory for a Plum Run riot where a general fight led to a brutal beating. recovery took weeks.

Hewson Died From Burns At Scott Well Gasville Man Dies
Edward Hewson died from burns received at the Scott oil well behind Wellsburg on Thursday. The 27 year old nephew of Mrs Myra Bower, he was taken to City hospital Wheeling and died Saturday evening. His body was returned to Gasville Ohio for burial. Mrs Myra Bowen accompanied the remains.
