Pen Switch Fireman Injured In Passenger Train Crash
Fireman C. L. Pease of Alliance suffered severe injuries when passenger train No. 38 collided with a work train near Bayard. Engineer Samuel Myers of Cleveland and a female passenger were also injured. The open switch caused the wreck as the faster passenger train slowed to stop. Shooting at Italian boarding house ends in death
After midnight on Wednesday in an Italian boarding house on Seventh North streets a quarrel led to gunfire. Ferdinand Di Luca was wounded in the neck by Tony Figluiolo of Sturgeon Pennsylvania who fled after firing. Di Luca died at 2 45 Thursday and a postmortem was held as officers seek clues to catch the killer.
