Wheeling Traction Rates Found Unreasonable by ICC
The Interstate Commerce Commission ruled Wheeling Traction Co. fares between Wheeling West Virginia and Steubenville Ohio and intermediate points unreasonable. The commission issued a pending order while Steubenville and allied councils opposed the proposed eight to three zone fare changes and argued the company was losing money under existing rates.
