Debt and notes mix with aging local notices
A torn OCR page lists subscription rates and notices. It mentions per year costs, a three month trial, single copy price, and advance payments. Fragments reference death notices and expressions of thanks, with scattered remarks on Alaska and canal treaty debates and a ship verdict. The text reflects a historic newspaper page with miscellaneous items and policy snippets.

Port Homer Oil Field Notes and Local Notices
The Miller well No 3 was brought in yesterday and filled 500 feet with oil before drilling finished. It’s the second best well struck in this field,预计产量约50 barrels per day. There are 14 wells producing oil now with more planned. George Walters drills near J W Vautisburg farm southeast of the field. Quagger Morrow of Toronto visits twice weekly to move oil to the pipe line, then to Knoxville and Island Creek toward Turkeyfoot. A plan may move the Port Homer schoolhouse due to oil-field danger. Pension notices include Hough Hammond’s $6 grant and William R. Galbraith’s $10 monthly increase to $12 via Steubenville agency. An ad for Jon Fleming & Son of Pittsburgh promotes a seasonal wine and liquor gift: orders of wine over $1 receive a decanter filled with port wine.
