Murderer Austin Francis Found Guilty In First Degree
Austin Francis, 27, a switchman, was convicted of first degree murder for killing his 15 year old sweetheart Winona Newton. The trial revealed he gave carbolic acid and forced her to drink, then strangled her, struck her with a stone, and weighted the body with a 150 pound rock in a creek.
