Wandering Deer Captured at Bethea Farm in Palmyra
A wild deer wandered through Dixon streets on Thanksgiving Day, then crossed a bridge and was chased into fields. Louis Bryan Christ and William Hummel captured the animal on the S. H. Bethea farm in Palmyra, feeding in a corn field before being penned in a box stall. If no owner is found, Bethea will keep it and plan to form a deer herd on his farm next summer.
