A rally prompted Judge Ramsay to issue an injunction directing the township board to maintain affairs of the high school. The order blocks further action until a hearing clarifies responsibilities. Local residents and officials react to the interim ruling.
Attorneys argued before Judge Frank D. Ramsay to restrain the tax levy for the coming year. State's Attorney Waite and Walter Stager represented Sterling township and Coloma taxpayers. The high school tax total is 17,900 dollars, with the Coloma share undetermined at this time.
A large Thanksgiving social at the armory hosted by William P. Cochran and his sister Olive Cochran attracted several hundred guests.
