Sterling students organize a Pep Club inviting all to join, promising inclusive participation. About 128 attended the first meeting as Tuesday and Thursday gatherings plan signs posters and cheers to boost Warrior Power. seniors in beanies back the effort and invite freshmen to join. Bring old sheets or pillow cases to the Multi-purpose room on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Rotary notes in May will feature an entertainment program for Junior Rotarians from Newman. Only four Sterling students can attend each meeting, totaling a limited sixty students this year. A New York subway sign quoted a dropout with a student reply about college.

STHS Enrollment Grows Each Year at Sterling Township High

Sterling Township High School reports rising enrollment with 1,734 students this year. Freshmen lead with 483, followed by 459 sophomores, 411 juniors, and 384 seniors, signaling the district’s shift from a small high school.

Future Teachers of America Open Season Plans

The Future Teachers of America members intend to be more active with new programs at regular meetings. They will present films, speakers on teaching developments, and organize a group panel on teachers unions. Cadet teaching and teachers' aid programs at the high school will continue, with the first meeting on September 24 to cover general business and pin orders. Ed.
