At the Sept. 9 meeting nominations for prom co chairs were taken and will be chosen at the next board meeting along with Homecoming co chairs. Class dues are set at $1.50 and will be collected soon in homerooms. Other fund raising ideas were discussed and will be voted on later.
Rhonda Garcia and Diane Appenzeller collect responses from STHS students on school year goals. Entries range from personal ambitions like becoming Homecoming Queen or finding a prom date to practical aims such as improving locker access and excelling in sports.
Gene Hartley the veteran Indianapolis 500 driver appears on a Champion Spark Plug Company educational TV program Monday morning September 21 at 8 30. The National Safety Council Public Service Award recipient will show students how to become better drivers. Hartley speaks from years of racing and averages over 35000 miles yearly as a highway driver.
