Homecoming Week Celebrates Class Rivalries and Wins
Homecoming 1977 at the school saw renewed student involvement through Student Council activities. Sophomores upset seniors in tug-of-war while tying with juniors in pyramid building. Tuesday clash day favored sophomores by two, while Wednesday’s crazy-hat day swung to seniors. Freshman senior teams won Powder Puff 18 0, with Lori Younger scoring on a senior play. King Jim McPherson and Queen Sue Ward led the court. Thursday featured seniors beating sophomores and winning several events. Friday blue and gold day closed with parade wins and the junior float overall winner. Saturday dance capped the week, ending in a largely successful Homecoming.
