Annual Dance Opens Span ish Club Sales Drive

The Spanish Club announces its annual dance Un Poquito De Mexico for November 21 from 8 30 to 11 30 pm in the tower building. Lamplighters provide modern music as committees for arrangements decorations refreshments floorshow tickets and name oversee the event.

Blue and Gold annual drive boosts sales at SHS

Student Subscription Drive runs November 26 to 30 at SHS to promote the 1952 Blue and Gold annual. Prices drop to 4.00 with a 2.00 down payment, offering three purchase chances via home rooms study halls or after school solicitors and monitors.

Opening Of The Cafeteria Delights Students On Octob er Thirty-First

The cafeteria opened on October 31 with about 300 to 400 students dining daily the first days. Feedback highlights general cooperation and improving service as staff and students adjust to the new facility. Merle Johnson praises the food while Mary Espinoza notes the convenience of not packing a lunch.

Dramatic Club to Present Three Plays December 4 5

The Dramatic Club stages three one act plays on December fourth and fifth at 8 00 pm in the tower room of the girls gym Casts include Earl Bailey Jean Bloomquist Dick Helms Sylvia Scham Mary Jo Mercer Arthur Magon J Lee Dunbar in Sauce For The Goslings Riders To The Sea Neighbors Student directors are Pat Hanson Mary Jo Mercer and Marlene Bucher Advisor Miss Larson Tickets cost 35 cents for children 55 cents for adults and may be bought from club members or Miss Larson.

Freshman Class Plans Social Event and Mixer

The Freshman class met on November ninth during homeroom to plan a party held November 16 in the girls gym. It featured mixer games square dancing social dancing a floor show and refreshments with Pete Andrews as Vice President overseeing committees.

Sophomore Chorus Christmas Program Under Mr Tonkin

The Sophomore Chorus directed by Mr W Tonkin presents a Christmas program on December 16 at 3 00 p m at Fourth Street Methodist Church. The public is invited and the group is described as smaller than last year but of good musical quality.
