First Semester Exam Schedule Announced
The first semester exams are set for January 14 and 15 in three periods per day. On January 14 the first period runs 8:00 to 10:00, second 10:05 to 12:05, and third 1:30 to 3:30. The same pattern applies to the second day for periods four through six. Exams are in regular rooms unless noted by instructors. The second semester starts January 19 with the usual timetable.
Sterlingites Plan Holiday Travel to Distant States
Faculty and students from Sterling High will travel for Christmas. Scheid family heads to Florida. Goette and Schick to Virden and Potomac. Other trips include Iowa, Colorado, Des Moines, Waterloo, Davenport, and California. The basketball squad tours Waverly Iowa. funds raised by Round Towner's Dance for Crippled Children's Clinic. Senior class donates five dollars to the Junior Red Cross.

Junior Red Cross in second period classes collected dues on December 9 aiming for one dollar per hundred people. The total reached 37 dollars with more money received the next day. The school paid 7 dollars for National Red Cross membership. S.H.S. is now a member.
