May Pole Dance Set for May 1 at the Coliseum
The May Pole Dance will take place May 1 in the Coliseum from 9 PM to midnight. Students from New man Rock Falls Sterling and nearby towns are invited. Ike Logan and his band provide music. The event features a secret May theme and a Pole winding led by Sue Ann Wheelock.

The Sterling Township High School Band directed by Wolfgang Edelmann will perform May 23 featuring sacred pieces by Bortniansky and de Nardis, martial and popular marches, and the overture Hungarian Comedy by Keler Bela. The program opens with Meadowlands and Pilgrim, ends with Americans We and Gavotte from Mignon, inviting broad audience appeal.

The senior class presents Dear Ruth a Norman Krasna comedy on May 6 and 7 with Miriam daughter of a soldier and her sister Ruth central to the plot.
