The Ladies Aid marked their first anniversary with an elderly social for attendees over seventy. Sixteen of thirty-five invited joined residents and guests for a program of music readings and a luncheon.
The county fair exhibits from local residents included C. C. Andrews with a team of Percheron mares earning 1st premium and sweepstakes. Russell and Welle Andrews showed five Poland China spring pigs. Russell earned 5th premium while Wells earned 3rd 4th and 5th. Special premiums were offered by merchants.
After a weeklong drive Camp Deputy E. E. Shultz and District Deputies E. E. Hackathorn and C. E. Hammett with Beatrice staff formed a class of twenty seven new M. W. A. members. Twenty four were initiated Tuesday night, with new members including David C. McDonald John H. Loth dr Alva W. Negus Cecil Goldaberry and Fred Fuqua among others.
