Gasoline motor car service to replace steam rails on St Joseph line
Superintendent Berlingett announces the St Joseph and Grand Island railway will add gasoline motor car passenger service along the entire system. Five cars from Omaha Keene Motor Company ordered. routes include Hiawatha to Fairbury and Fairbury to Grand Island with daily round trips. Service to start after dinner, mid October delivery, in addition to existing steam trains to improve passenger service.
