Manford Hardesty and Miss Stancliff of Alexandria visited his parents Sunday. A. M. Hardesty was taken suddenly ill at day afternoon but recovered enough to return to work by Saturday.
Wallace Palmer spent the weekend at home. Mrs. F V Lowe bought a new Buick sedan. Mrs. Bundy visited relatives in Fremont. Miss Francis Johnson of Diller stayed with Mary Wallace Friday night. Several from nearby towns attended the school carnival Friday. Multiple local residents visited relatives in Deshler and Beatrice. Waffle suppers set for church events November 3. Mrs. Whitney returned from a two week visit in Kansas. C T Whitney and son Harold returned from Hemingford. R. S. Wilfley to stock funeral equipment with H A Richardson in Fairbury. Reverend W. W. Pfautz expresses sincere thanks to the Steele City community for kindness and courtly behavior during his ministry. He and Mrs Pfautz thank local business leaders for their courtesy and wish the town prosperity and divine blessings as they depart.
Thirty head of Jersey and Guernsey milk cows will be sold at public auction in Odell on Saturday October 29 at 1 30 PM regardless of weather. Cows 3 to 5 years old fresh with calves by side heavy springers in fine condition herd passed 60 day tuberculin test purebred but not registered cows guaranteed as represented.

A 1928 bulletin lists topics and speakers for church programs Mrs Nance and Mrs Nida host on April 19 with Roll Call My Favorite Bird by Bird McDonald Nebraska Birds by Mrs Harris and a May 17 Book Review by Mrs Clapp. June 21 features Indian and Negro music led by Mrs Fay Clark. Rev Pfautz to preach Sunday morning and communion to follow.
