A letter urges mare owners to breed mares this fall to raise colts next year. The writer notes mule prices are high and mules and horses will stay valuable. Reed is advised as cheaper later, and the author promotes keeping stallions and a jack from going idle.
Dishes include reindeer stew roast water fowl bear meat and walrus stew in Labrador Greenland and the Faroe Islands. With time a taste may form for these uses if frozen long enough to show a grateful spirit. Courses like bread codfish cranberry jam and dried blueberry cake help matters along.
A vintage advertisement promotes Chamberlains Tablets to aid digestion for women. It advises light meat consumption if digestion is faulty and suggests an occasional dose, priced at 25 cents, sold by all dealers.
Mrs William Bell of Logansport Indiana writes that Chamberlains Colic and Diarrhoea Remedy relieved a severe diarrhoea attack three years ago. It was the only medicine that helped. Adv.
