Also notes births, army casualty figures, and K P lodge reorganization at Diller with an oyster supper.
A fire destroyed the Roulsten farm house three miles southeast of town Tuesday night. Mr Roulsten and Jay were away. Jay returned about 1 am to find the home nearly burned. The house, insured for 1200 dollars, belonged to Pank Mathias who lived south of Diller.
Steele City residents circulate a remonstrance against a new pool hall license after the town board lowered license fees and granted one to C. F. Wheeler. Most signatories oppose a pool hall. eight refused, three objecting only if their names are needed. The board meets again tonight to consider the remonstrance. Baby boy welcomed in Ridgefield as Milo’s family shares good news.
