A local committee urges the public to visit the Opera House all day Sunday November 10 to watch returns hourly and boost the effort for the war. Attendees are asked to bring dinner while hot coffee is provided.
Newton precinct cast 182 votes with 133 for the first amendment and 32 against. Local items include flu illness and recoveries, visits, church services, housing work, farm rents, and a reported $4.50 fine for Josh Wittenberger for a Halloween misdeed.
