Marriage of Minnie Malady in Beatrice
Miss Minnie Malady wed Robert C. Rogers in Beatrice on Saturday May 23. Sister Rose Malady attended and a reception dance at the Malady home followed with about sixty relatives and friends. The couple received a 25 piece silver set and other gifts before departing Tuesday to Culbertson Nebraska where the groom has a newly furnished home awaiting them.

Funeral for Chas A Bundy Held at First Presbyterial Church
Funeral services for the late Mr. Chas A Bundy were held at the First Presbyterial Church in Steele City on May 22 at 2 PM with Rev. Bruce W Davis officiating. Burial was in Marbury Cemetery. Bundy leaves a surviving son, W O Bundy of Steele City, one of four children. Bundy’s father was a Jefferson County pioneer who came west from New York in 1872, stopping in Beatrice and Jenkins Mill before railroads, and relatives mourn the passing.
