John F. Demel a former Steele City boy and Jefferson county teacher filed for the secretary of state on the Democratic ticket. He lives in Coleridge Nebraska and has practiced law and taught school since leaving here, with prior work at the state industrial school in Kearney during the Shailenberger administration.
