Willey Golden Wedding Celebrated in Steele City
Mr and Mrs No 17 Willey marked their 50th anniversary at home in Steele City with a 2 to 6 reception. The couple, married April 19 1866 in Knoxville Iowa, have five children thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr Willey served in the 83rd Iowa Infantry and later ran a furniture and undertaking business while also serving as deputy sheriff.

Mrs Elizabeth Cassell died at her home in Steele City from paralysis due to advanced age. Funeral services will be at the M E church at 2 PM Sunday. A Congregational women’s reception honored Mrs Millice who departs for Cuba, with music and luncheon.
