A carload of Flour and Feed is expected on track around June 23 to supply old wheat based flour and mixed feeds. The offer includes Flour Bran Chicken Growing Mash Meal Grey and White Shorts Graham Pigmeal Laying Mash Oat Meal Calf Meal Poultry Fattener.
Fuhrken Mowry Mies daughter of Mr and Mrs Wm Fuhrken of Washington Kansas wed Harry Mowry son of Mrs Rena Mowry near town. The marriage took place Tuesday June 7 at 5 p.m. in the Marysville Presbyterian church with Rev Olsen officiating.

Eva Thrapp spent Sunday with home folie. Mrs. Glen Riddle and Ella Sil kett returned Tuesday from a two weeks visit with relatives at Omaha. Mrs. F. W. Lowe and sons returned home Tuesday from a visit with friends and relatives at Indianola Nebr. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Pearson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garrett motored to Lincoln Friday where Mrs. Pearson is having dental work done. The Breéle City School Alumni banquet held at the K. of P. ball last Friday night was attended by fifty-eight. A good program was given and those present were served a delicious supper.
Local notes report the Kitchen Orchestra appearing at the opera house Tuesday June 28 with ads promising entertainment. Other items include social visits, arrivals and departures, a larger water tank replacement, and a new county road machine replacement. A 1 inch rain fell over the weekend, and a 1 pound boy was born to Mr and Mrs G V Caster.
Local church calendar lists services held in the R. P. hall with devotions and morning and evening gatherings. Event details include weekly worship, prayer meetings, and special holiday observances.
Local friends wish the LD Family Leave luck on their journey choosing either a southern California route or a direct northern path to Oregon as they relocate and start anew.
Plasterers work on the ground floor while basement walls are plastered. Exterior resembles final form though art windows and lawn will add beauty. Front entry leads to a waiting room near the choir arch, with a north rostrum and a large back, furnace installed, and modern construction planned for a proud Steele City church.
Mr and Mrs H J Fahrenwald and family were honored by societies and friends in multiple farewell gatherings before leaving Tuesday. The K of P lodge presented Mr Fahrenwald an emblem ring at a Thursday meeting. The Degree of Honor lodge hosted a covered dish supper for Mrs Fahrenwald that evening. The celebration was dampened by a member's misfortune, Mrs McDonarm. A later party for Elizabeth Fahrenwald drew several friends to Sampson Laura Phelps Reona.
Mrs. Gertrude Penze hosted the B B Kensington gathering on June 14 with sixteen members present. No more meetings this summer were planned and the next meeting is the second Tuesday in September. Refreshments included assorted cakes and strawberry ice cream before the entertainers took over.
The Fourth of July event at Steele City features an airplane in traction as a centerpiece. Spectators will see an aircraft up close and may ride it, offering a Lindbergh era thrill. Fireworks, a baseball game, and a rodeo are also planned with more program details to follow.
