Various social and community updates from Manning area. Residents and visitors named include Mrs A Mannning Gardens, Miss Lucy Weber, Mrs Depue of Fairbury, Miss Minnie and Helen Wehling, Miss Mildred Kiskall, and many others. Mentions of a coal delivery to the school, a new Case threshing machine for Fred and Harvey, travel to Lincoln and Hiawatha, and medical visits in Omaha and Savannah.
The Steele City church notes a lively alumni banquet with toasts led by Wallace Palmer and poetry from Mr. Davis. Rev B W Davis and Mrs. Davis receive a sugar spoon gift as the pastor and wife retire plans to China. The piece lists obituaries and marriage notices from 1924 to 1925 and reflects on faith and service.
The annual meeting at the school house on Monday June 8 noted a small attendance with no women. The secretary reported floating indebtedness over five thousand dollars in 1920 is nearly paid, and 1913 bonds for the school house are being paid rapidly. Twenty bonds of five hundred dollars each were issued. fourteen paid and funds available to retire three more. With current tax rate and real value the district may discharge all bonded debt in one more year. The meeting proceeded with typical business and reduced the tax levy by one thousand dollars.

Glen Riddle of Steele City sustained severe injuries when a Ford overturned on a highway near Endicott Nebraska after the radius rod under the front axle dropped into the roadway. Mrs Riddle and a baby in the car were unhurt. Lincoln
