Stores Close Monday For Fourth Of July Observance

Steele City stores will open Monday until 10 a.m. then close for the holiday. The W C T U Silver Medal Contest at M E church July 7 charges admissions of .15 for adults and .10 for under twelve. Contestants include Harriet Allen and Doris Greenwood. Nebraska saw four inches of rain Thursday night with wind damaging trees and hay. The river overflowed its banks Saturday affecting low bottom corn fields.
