Eagle Attack Ends in Self-Defense Shot

Albert Shepherd of Endicott shot a large six foot nine inch eagle after it wounded him. He fired a second shot in self defense as the bird fought back, a rare specimen for the area reported by the Fairbury News.

Report by plant operator Frank Crinklaw shows total receipts 4303.80 and expenses 1230.00 for the year ending December 31 1916 with a balance of 373.80 and notes months of January to March with reduced consumer numbers.
