About sixty guests gathered at C C Andrews home for a humorous mock trial staged by twenty men. Ellermeier sues Andrew Phelps over a red rooster from July 3 2018 but the jury finds Not Guilty though the rooster must be returned to its owner. A supper of pressed chicken sandwiches pickles toffee and cake accompanied the entertainment.
The Weld Congregational church held its annual meeting on January 3 electing Robert homers as trustee Andrew place and Allen Saelerk as treasurer. The Sunday school elected Milice superintendent Mrs Andrews assistant superintendent Hallie James secretary Hazel Condit treasurer Fay Clark librarian Maude Willey organist. An old country worn sat in a smoking compartment as a porter received instructions about storing a bicycle and securing a van bell and handlebars before train motion.
The Royal Neighbors of America held their annual officer installation on Tuesday night January 6. Named officers include Oracle Mrs Nettie Franzen Vice Oracle Mrs R I Clapp Chancellor Mrs Hazel New Recorder Mrs Rosa Taylor Receiver Mrs Ciara Kracken Marshal Mrs Edith Brown Inner Sentinel Mrs Bessie Rucker Outer Sentinel Mrs Emma Pearson Physician Dr Taylor Musician Mrs Lennie Clapp Anna Crinklaw acted as installing officer and Stella Reynolds as ceremonial marshal. Mrs Anna Bryant elected delegate to State Council in Omaha March 18 1914 with Mrs Grave Wallace as alternate.

It was thought 1900 marked a high water mark at 269,684,027 short tons. Yet the past two years show production nearly double, with 231,912,? and 226,594,281 tons noted, reflecting a substantial increase.
An obituary recalls Mr Crosman’s service as pastor at the Congregational Church from 1881 to 1887, later roles as principal and teacher, and his years on a farm near Steele City.
