Local items report F. W. Lowe visiting Davenport and J. A. Jacks and Wells Andrews freighted to Fairbury. A newborn son to Mr. and Mrs. K. E. Phelpson. Snowfall of six to eight inches brings good sleighing. Jacks & Cunningham buy a Ford for passenger service. A wolf hunt is planned near town on the 22nd. An inspector found pure food laws in order. Wes Bates’ sale set for Monday as he relocates.

Roy Roulsten and children visited his parents Wm and Mrs Roulsten in Fillmore county over Sunday. For sale a C S C boat about 300 pounds. Call Hugh Garrett four miles south of Steele City. Rev Heyhoe of Crete conducts Congregational services Sunday. R T Garrett attended J D Hunt sale at Marysville buying three sows. Wolf hunt west of town draws hundreds. six coyotes captured. Oldest residents report John Reynolds shoveling snow. Nellie Megonigle to Kansas City for spring millinery styles then opening a shop in J H Ellermeier’s store. John Heasty and F L Rain seek Republican nominations for state senator and county attorney. A R Cox sale announced next Tuesday. Mr and Mrs Carl Franzen returned from Diller, plan to move to Greeley Colorado. A R Cox and Berniece Cox illness noted. she improving. K of P oyster supper Friday for Cox, Lowe, Davis families and Stewart. Class starts Feb 26 for beginners. parents urged to send children. Gertrude Andrews reports Clyde resident visiting from Seneca. He continues to Sheridan Wyoming for work.

Mrs G A Cunningham and others were reported sick with la grippe but improving. Residents on the hill urged thanks to John Carr and F Varley for snow removal along the park and toward the school.
