Arbor day plans and local visits surface as Fairbury residents share health notes and community events. Mrs. Wilfley and Miss Florence Wilson visit family. Tanlac ads recur, alongside births, weddings, sales, and upcoming Steele City and Endicott line developments within Nebraska communities.

The notice lists Whole Hams 37e and 25c per lb for ham and bacon, plus produce and strawberries. Six new members joined the church during Easter services and a largely attended Life of Christ series concluded. A leaderless Christian Endeavor met because of illness, and moving into the new manse will begin this week. Memorial Day plans will be discussed at an 8 pm opera house meeting on May 1 with all community members urged to attend.
P D Earhart of Lawrence reports a misinterpretation of a prior item about Miss Ethel Whiting a former Steele City teacher now missionary in India. The letter explains a drive to Guide Rock to clarify Whiting’s status noting she was not home in recent years and asks readers to credit the paper for the error.
A curious note claims isolated electrons at the pole would repel with 112 million tons. The tale includes a quip about a matron answered about her husband’s vote, saying he was absent and away from the jig.
