Mrs Broadston Catharine Vanwalkerburgh born Racine Wisconsin July 25 1848 died March 16 1926 aged 0 years 8 months 16 days. She moved with her parents to Webster County Iowa as a child and married Alfred Broadston July 3 1866 at Fort Dodge Iowa. They had ten children and she leaves twenty grandchildren and forty six great grandchildren. The family lived in Steele City Nebraska for twenty two years and she remained a Presbyterian all her life. She was a devoted mother and left many friends and a lasting example.

The sixth Sectional contest of District No. 1 will be held at Steele in the city hall Thursday after noon and evening April 8 1926.
