Hazleton seeks grant for continued guidance after exit from Act 47
Hazleton will apply for a Strategic Management Planning Grant to cover up to half the cost of financial technical and policy guidance from the Pennsylvania Economy League after leaving Act 47. Mayor Jeff Cusat and council President Jim Perry say ongoing guidance will help sustain fiscal progress and transition. Gerald Cross PEL representative notes the grant would shift the coordinator’s role to more of a technical advisor through DCED.
