Hartwig holds off Hildebrand in Evergreen Modified duel
12 year old Hildebrand trailed Hartwig through 35 laps as Hartwig kept the Evergreen Mods on top. Hartwig celebrated his fourth win in a month with a hot track and a reliable car, praising crew chief Bob Geiger and his parents. Hildebrand, a long-time Evergreen racer and former champion, settled for second after a hard run. Third place went to Steve Shultz with Nick Bear and Geary Rineheimer Jr. in the top five. Ken Erney Jr. swept to his first Evergreen win of the season in Street Stocks after practice, while Mike Pollack and Christman followed. AJ Ayre, TJ Kapish, and Lori Jensen led a 4-Cylinder Stocks race that evening.
