Innovative Greens Banked TWP Opens Greenhouse Complex
Little Leaf Farms founder Paul Sellen opened a 10 acre glass greenhouse in McAdoo Industrial Park to grow 14 million lettuce plants indoors. The system uses glass roofs, gas turbines for heat and CO2, and aims to support five more 10 acre greenhouses. Gov. Josh Shapiro praised the project and the $20 per hour average wages paid to employees. Lettuce from Pennsylvania could reach Northeast supermarkets by Thursday.

Shapiro declines daily calendar sharing in PA governance
Governor Josh Shapiro will not publish his daily calendar, diverging from his predecessor's transparency approach. The Open Records office recently ruled in Shapiro's favor, while critics say calendars reveal staffers, meetings, and topics. Spokesperson Marie Bender asserts daily public schedules are released to reporters and that security factors justify limited disclosures.
