Layton man apologizes for taking law into his own hands
Layton resident Clare B Niederhauser pleaded no contest in 2nd District Court to illegal discharge of a firearm a class B misdemeanor Judge Robert J Dale accepted the plea and Niederhauser agreed to forfeit a Ruger .357 and pay 700 fine within 30 days He must take a deadly force class and if he stays law abiding for 12 months the conviction will be removed, attorney Mitch Wiles said.
