Knox Baird oil leaser and broker and former grocery merchant died of a heart attack at 2 55 p m Sunday after being ill at home. He was pronounced dead at Stamford Sanitarium and funeral services were held at St John s Methodist Church with burial in Highland Cemetery. He served in World War II and is survived by his mother sister and four brothers.

Mary Beene 83 died at Stamford Sanitarium nine hours after a collision on U S Highway 380 east of Stamford. Her daughter Mrs Ely and Mr Ely were treated for injuries.
