Father of Local Woman Dies at Abilene Sunday
W. W. Shults aged 59 and father of Mrs. Harry A. Benson of Stamford died Sunday at 1 a m in Hendrick Memorial hospital Abilene after two months illness. Funeral at Elliott Funeral chapel with Elmwood Cemetery burial. Survived by wife, daughter in Stamford, son G W Shults of Abilene, and five grandchildren. Mrs. Shults plans to accompany Mr Benson and his children to Colorado where he will work on a dude ranch this summer.

Local Couple Injured in Albany Highway Collision

Mrs Oelke Burns in Gas Burned Wash Pot Explosion
Mrs Esther Oelke wife of Rev O K Oelke of Lagerton sustained severe burns on both legs and arms when an outdoor wash pot heated by a gas burner exploded. The water was hot at the moment of the blast. The Oelkes’ dog had its hair singed. She was rushed to Stamford Sanitarium and is resting well.
