Stamford High to graduate 66 seniors Friday night
Sixty six seniors at Stamford High School will graduate at 8 p.m. Friday in commencement exercises. Valedictorian Gary Jenkins and salutatorian Jennifer Hickman give addresses, with scholarship awards announced by dean Jerry Taylor. Sevenyearold Struck by Car in Stamford Street Incident
A seven year old Stamford youth narrowly escaped serious injury after being struck by an automobile driven by Roy Lee Brooks of Abilene on North Swenson Street around 3 p.m. Monday. The boy David Potter was rushed to Stamford Memorial Hospital after attempting to cross the street from the west side as the vehicle approached.

Groundbreaking ceremonies for a 727,492 dollar low rent housing project were held Friday near Stamford's VIP Community Center. City officials praised the project and housing authority work as 24 units, including 20 one bedroom homes, will be built in six months with 60 units planned citywide by November.

Tower Work to Finish by Friday City Water Tower Renovation
