Two erect bulls will be auctioned during the Texas Cowboy Reunion to raise funds for completing the inkhouse headquarters of the Texas Cowboy Reunion Association. C E Coombes, secretary, announced the sale proceeds will support the bunkhouse project, with donations already received and more expected from cattlemen and early-day supporters. The building may expand to double current floor space and add restrooms, contingent on funds raised.

Black and White Dance Hall Shut by Court Order Near Stamford
A temporary restraining order was issued Friday by District Judge Ratliff at the request of Comey Attorney authorizing the closure of the Black and White Dance Hall run by Jesse Theodore Herring, north of Stamford on Highway 30. The petition alleged the hall was a common nuisance with frequent drunkenness and affrays. twenty three justice court convictions were cited since the year began. A final hearing to make the order permanent is set for Saturday morning May 29 at 10 o'clock before Judge Ratliff.

Stamford Musicians Take Second in Abilene Contest
Stamford musicians Frank Music and his Blue Ribbon Melody Boys earned runner-up in an amateur show by the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Abilene last Friday. First place went to Jinaway and Eddy Farran, 16, twins, with a top prize of a trip to Hollywood or New York. The runner-up prize was a Pan American Exposition trip in Dallas, but the band split the prize money among its five members Joe Musil Frank Musil Emory Musil Joe Barnes and Billy Mee Donald after the event. Approximately 1600 spectators attended the show.
