Bus Driver Dies Of Crash Injuries
Jimmy Lester, a White Star Bus Lines driver, died at Stamford Sanitarium after sustaining a hip injury in a bus oil truck crash near Albany three months earlier. Born in Pilot Point, he lived in Prosper and Abilene and worked for Stamford routes. Survived by mother Tiny Lester, sister Mrs. Ross Atkins, and brothers Jack, Hugh, and Cliff Lester. fiancee Miss Effie Crawson. Burial in Bethel cemetery, Frisco after services led by Rev. J. L. Cleveland.

Porter Funeral Marks End of 59-Year Railroad Career
Jasper Newton Porter 79 a longtime Wichita Valley Railway roadmaster died at home after paralysis. Born February 29 1856 in Linden Tennessee he worked from Paducah to New Orleans as a boy before joining Missouri Pacific and later becoming Wichita Valley roadmaster in 1907. Funeral at Kinney Chapel featured a quartet and interment in Highland cemetery with survivors including his wife four daughters and nine grandchildren.

Youth Pleads Guilty To Theft Of Diamond In Stamford
Raymond McClung pleaded guilty to stealing a diamond from Mrs. D O McKimmon in Stamford last January. He received a two year sentence in the state penitentiary and began serving it after his arrest in Vernon and transfer to Huntsville. The diamond was recovered in Vernon on February 20.
