Odd Fellows Grand Lodge Meeting Draws Large Local Attendance
Ray Rector and Stamford delegates attended the Grand Lodge in Wichita Falls with about 3060 Odd Fellows and Rebekahs present. Ray Rector ran for Grand Warden in a three candidate field and lost by 20 votes to a Sherman lawyer. he led on the first ballot before the eventual winner gained the majority as the other candidate dropped out.

New Highway to West Designated by Dept
State Highway Commission designated a seventy five mile link from Stamford to a New Mexico road toward Roswell.
