Stamford Youth Dies After Self-Inflicted Death Device
A Stamford man, Jack Thomas Browning born May 21, 1908, died Wednesday at 7:30 am at his family home. He used a wooden box enclosing his head with a homemade short barrel gun set off by an alarm clock at 5 am. Justice Meeker deemed it self-inflicted. Funeral services were held at Kinney Chapel with Rev. Albert Jones officiating. Burial in Highland Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, siblings, and relatives in Dallas Abilene Canyon and other cities.
