Registration for the Little League begins Monday March 17 with forms at the Chamber of Commerce and schools. Players bring a parent and $5 to sign up. Dog House hours for registration are March 29 and April 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. no sign ups after April 5. Ten to twelve year olds not on a team will try out at the baseball park on April 10, with a pre-registration required. Minor league tryouts for eight and nine-year-olds are Monday April 7.

City to seek bids on oil and gas lease for city land
Stamford city council in regular session last Friday voted to advertise for bids to lease 23.26 acres of city owned property near Lueders after a Denver investor wrote expressing interest. The council also approved paving an additional city block, Gould Street end, with Jones Haskell Grain Co-Op funding about 51 percent of the 350 feet involved, and planned a Wednesday signing for the paving contract.
