Sagerton Man Herman Helm Dies After Stroke
Herman Helm aged 59 of Sagerton died Tuesday at Stamford Sanitarium after two strokes two weeks apart. Born September 16, 1882 in Brenham, he married Lizzie Hodde and moved to Haskell county. He ran a Lagerton service station and grocery and was a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife a son Adolph Helm a daughter Lena Schaake two grandchildren John Helm and Charlie Helm a sister Mrs Henry Lehrman. Funeral Thursday at 3 p.m. Kinney Funeral Chapel burial in Fairview Cemetery near Lagerton.

Pioneer Citizen Mrs Beaty Dies at 84 in Stamford Area
Mrs. Sarah Beaty born in 1857 in Tennessee died at 7 30 p m Tuesday at her home southeast of Stamford after long illness. She moved to Jones county in 1886 from Coryell county and lived on California Creek with husband P A Beaty who died in 1928. Surviving children include four sons and four daughters, plus eighty four grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday at 3 30 p m at Avoca Methodist Church with burial in Sprice Creek cemetery. Kinney Home in charge.
