Pentecost Revival Planned by Stamford Churches
Stamford churches announce a cooperative revival meeting in early June to mark the 1900th Pentecost anniversary. Kansas City evangelist Guy W. Green will lead the campaign at St. John’s Methodist auditorium starting June 1, with a pianist and a signer in his party.

The body of Mrs. H. M. Fagan age 33 of Albany, who died after a fire at her Stamford Sanitarium rest, was sent to Abilene by Penick Hughes and shipped to Inglewood California. Her husband H M Fagan suffered burns and traveled to Abilene via air to accompany the body as it left on the westbound Texas and Pacific train. Mrs Fagan’s parents Mr and Mrs F W Cowl resided in Inglewood California.

Acorn Store Hosts Flourishing Spring Style Show Night

Manager Delas Reeves greeted guests as eleven models showcased dresses frocks ensembles and coats with musical accompaniment from Lyles Music Shoppe. Fire under the balky mule sparks small blaze
An automobile owned by E. D. Jones of 544 E Moran street failed to start last Monday morning. Jones attempted to aid ignition by burning paper around the manifold, starting a grease fire that caused smoke and a small blaze. The fire department responded and extinguished it with chemicals, causing little damage.

Eight hurt as Stamford area reels from weekend accidents
Eight persons were injured and five cars damaged in autos near Stamford over the weekend. Hollis Hisey sustained a scalp wound and hand cut after his car ran into a bar pit when blinded by oncoming headlights on Highway 30. A second crash on North Swenson Avenue and Campbell Street left W A Turner with a fractured skull among others injured. Dodge driver T L Denson posted $2000 bond after failing to stop. A third wreck on Highway 18 near Capron Cemetery injured Mrs. R H Dow and family. Smith of Sweetwater drove the Buick. Cars were towed to Stamford by Williams Garage wrecker.

Fire damages tourist camp on Highway 30
Fire department responded to a report from Fay Anders Wrecking Shop and Tourist Camp on Highway 30 Monday night. A small blaze damaged two cabins and the roof of a row of tourist cabins. occupants Mr and Mrs John Cannon were away. Furniture and personal effects in the apartments were destroyed.

Funeral services for Gean Astin three year old daughter of Mr and Mrs A R Astin were held at the First Baptist church with Rev W C Moffett officiating. Interment was in Highland cemetery Kinney Brothers had charge. Gean died Saturday morning from burns suffered when her clothing caught fire after a match broke exploded in a backyard incident Friday afternoon. Her mother suffered burns while aiding her. L. C. Plummer seven year old son of Mr and Mrs C E Plummer of Sunnyside died at Stamford Sanitarium after a fall from a horse Sunday on the family farm eight miles southwest of Stamford. Band to Open Season With March 14 Concert
The Stamford Firemen's Band schedules its first concert of the year for Friday night March 14 at City Auditorium.
