Four cars of wheat shipped from Stamford this week by the Stamford Mill and Elevator and Clark Brothers, with shipments on Saturday Tuesday and Wednesday nights. More carloads may have been bought but not shipped. Grain moves slowly as much remains green and rains hinder field work. Farmers suspect the rains helped by preventing cuts of grain too green. Wheat quality is good with yields near 20 bushels per acre, some reports up to 25. No. 1 wheat posted at 57 cents per bushel on Wednesday.
