Stamford Pilot Wounded In Vietnam Action
Chief Warrant Officer B J Barnett a Stamford helicopter pilot was wounded near the DMZ on July 13 while aiding a colonel. He lost a ring finger and a toe with multiple shrapnel wounds. He is in Fort Hood Texas after treatment in Tokyo and San Antonio. He is a 1966 Stamford High School graduate.

A new C. R. Anthony Co. department store debuts Thursday on the west side of Stamford’s square in the old Webb’s building. Manager is Chester Ahrens with Mrs. Ahrens heading the women’s department and Bill Barnett as assistant manager.
